Pressure Care Air Mattress (High Care - Complete mattress replacement system)

The AE18 is a full mattress replacement system designed to assist in the treatment and prevention of up to and includng stage IV pressure ulcers for high care patients.

The design of the AE18 is paramount to stimulating the healing process, and with the assistance of caregivers every two hours will alleviate the pressure affected areas.

Pressure sores can be extremely painful depending on the stage of the ulcer as follows:

• Stage I - Skin Intact with redness (Erythema).
• Stage II - Partial los of skin, swelling or blistering.
• Stage III - Loss of skin, open wound (crater)
• Stage IV - Full loss of skin and underlying tissue and may extend to muscle, bone, tendon and joints.

Air Mattress: 

The mattress consists of a total of 18 individual cells (5") broken down into 3 sections. 

The first 3 cells remain inflated for the pillow section, the following 8 cells are ventillated to cool the main pressure areas of the torso and the remaining 7 cells alternate as the previous 8 ventilated cells. Beneath the 18 cells also incorporates a softer 3" foam mattress to maximise patient comfort. The removable zip mattress cover is waterproof and fire retardent. Cover is machine washable without disassembling the entire mattress.

Air pump:

The combing air pump is controlled via a microprocessor which detects and maintains the correct pressure according the user weight (30Kg upto 200Kg) which is set initially during installation. The air pump features digital LED displaying air pressure being delivered (mmHg) and user weight setting, also featuring seating mode, static mode, power loss alarm and pressure monitor indicator. Quick release connector and removable 240v power cable (3.5 meters) and function lockout to prevent accidental change in programme settings.
